I’m so happy to witness the first biggest DOTA2 tournament in Southeast Asia the Manila Major 2016. The setup of the stage was really awesome. I’ve never seen something like this before.
I don’t have a full access to the event this time unlike in ESL One Manila, where I can shoot anywhere I want. I’m just shooting at the lowerbox section, so I’m really thinking of how could I make my photos look nice. Fortunately, I have my 50-140mm lens. I can shoot the players at a distance and still maintaining the quality. The only problem is the angle. I really can’t shoot them in a nicer angle coz everything were came from the topview. It’s really hard at my part but still I’m grateful to have just a media pass.
While I’m shooting, I’m watching the match as well. I’m a big fan of Dendi and Kuroky. I remember the time when they were still teammates. But now, they were playing at different teams. Dendi is still in Na’Vi while Kuroky is in Liquid. There was also a cosplay competition.
The teams that played at the Finals were OG and Team Liquid. I admit that Kuroky didn’t play so well but still I cheered for them up to their last match. OG won and took home the grand prize of $1,110,000.
It was a great experience for every Peenoise (Filipinos) to come to this event. And I hope next year Manila Major will still happen here in Philippines.Shot using Fujifilm xt10 50-140mm f2.8, 18mm f2 and samyang 8mm
