Every girl dreams of having her Boaz someday. For those who don’t know, Boaz is the leading man of Ruth in the Bible. When Ruth was busy working in the field, Boaz noticed her and eventually they got married.
What if you thought, you’ve finally found your Boaz but he doesn’t notice you? Somehow he’s out of your league? Or maybe, you think you’re not too good for him? Well, I’ve been through that a lot of times. I always thought that if I stay at places where he may be or if I do also what he’s doing, then chances are big for both of us. However, that’s not the way it should be, it’s not the plan of God.
As I grow spiritually, I finally learned that regardless of what you do, you can’t choose the person you want. That’s the truth. You can be together but you’ll just end up broken apart. Because, it was not how God designed women at the first place. Men ought to be the one pursuing not us. It’s okay to have crushes. But never ever chase them. Think of a diamond. What makes it so special? It’s because of its beauty and rarity. Does it need to beg in order to be sold? I guess not. But in fact, people are working hard for it.
I hope we could be that diamond everyone’s wanting to have and that Ruth who’s just busy doing her job. And I believe that there will always be a Boaz praying and searching for you. God knows our deepest desires in our heart. We just have to wait for His perfect time.
Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4 ESV
